An der Ostsee

Our first hike on the Baltic Sea on the Fördesteig led us to the cliffs and the nature reserve Höftland. We had a lot of fun. We were lucky with the weather and were largely spared the rain on the track.

Today, heavy continuous rain was announced and the forecast was fulfilled. Instead of hiking we decided therefore for a small city tour in the harbor area of Flensburg. But we were in a very scenic area at the mouth of the mouth and have defied rain and wind. It was nice!

Our first tour on the Baltic Sea without continuous rain 😁

Today we were in a scenic area, the nature reserve Geltinger Birk, on the way. It was nice!

In wonderful weather we were on the Holnis peninsula. A great, varied tour through a nature reserve with occasional dog beaches.

During a break in the rain, we were able to enjoy the beautiful nature reserve at Winderatter See all to ourselves on a circular trail that was only created a few years ago. A tour in Glücksburg to the moated castle, the beach promenade and the wild boar enclosure.

A nice tour between the museum village Unewatt and the district of Langballigau on the Baltic Sea beach, both part of the Langballig community. The route leads along the valley of the Langballigau river of the same name.

The tour along the Schlei was very quiet and not very busy. It goes along the inland coast on sometimes very narrow paths, and small bays invite you to linger.

We were lucky with the weather, only towards the end of the route did light rain come in.

Also today rain was announced again from the early afternoon. It was definitely enough for a short tour in the morning. In the sunshine, we were able to enjoy the beautiful circular route around the Sankelmarker See with its many small bays.

We are on family visit to the Baltic Sea. Our first little morning exploration tour takes us to the dog beach.

As a farewell we had a very nice morning walk on the dog beach.
