Zwischen Maastricht und Aachen

Combination of city tour of Maastricht and a hike around the Sint Pietersberg. We did not think that would work so well. Maastricht is really worth seeing!

Today we went to South Limburg to Oud Valkenburg Castle in the Geul Valley. By coincidence this was the third day of the "Heuvelland4daagse", a four-day hiking event in Limburg. The Geultal is a very nice area, the hike was great!

Today we were in the Heuvelland (translated: hill country) in the Dutch part of Limburg an der Geul, with a detour to Belgium. A wonderful tour and a varied route (over the golf course, through the campsite and over cattle pastures, all official hiking trails) that we had a lot of fun.

One month ago on our hike "Oud Valkenburg and Geul" we accidentally got among the participants of the 42 km route of the four-day hike "Heuvelland4daagse". That made us curious.

Our third Easter hike took us to the nature reserve Rodebach-Gangelt. A very nice tour with highland cattle and a lot of nature.



Our first tour in the Wurmtal. We were able to explore a beautiful landscape with a lot of wind and also every now and then sun. The mostly wide, easily accessible paths also invited many joggers, cyclists, riders and families, so that the four-legged friends had to be careful today.

At the Teverener Heide we really liked the combination of extensive heathland and a multitude of lakes, ponds, ponds and moor ponds. The four-legged friends had a lot of fun and discovered the sheep wool tufts lying around in the heath landscape as toys.

A completely different tour - with tanks in the middle of the terrain and beautiful natural landscapes. The dogs were able to let off steam.

A very nice tour with a varied route. The low sun conjured up a particularly charming light in the forest and heather landscape. A couple of sections were overcrowded due to the beautiful weather and today on Saturday.

Our first trip to the heathland this season. In the Brunssummerheide the heather already blooms in some places. A nice tour. The four-legged romped despite the heat a lot, were then flat accordingly.

A very nice tour in Limburg along the Geul to the castle Valkenburg and Kasteel Oost, through the village Valkenburg and the Wilhemina-tower up, back through forest areas and past meadows. It was not just fun for the four-legged friends 😍

Today we were on the military training area and nature reserve Brander Wald and on the Inde. An unusual mixture of tanks, parts of the west wall and nature can be admired here (meanwhile only on weekends and when no exercises take place). We had fun!
